While I am a dedicated researcher and fervent advocate for responsible information systems, at the heart of it all, I'm a family man. As a proud father of two, my days are filled with the joys and challenges of parenting. My wife and I have created countless memories and milestones with each other and our two children.
I was born in Nigeria but moved to the Netherlands when I was very young, where I grew up and lived for roughly 15 years. I went to college at the University of Texas at Arlington and briefly worked in London after that. I'm fluent in Dutch and am currently learning French and Spanish. While I hold a special place in my heart for my parents' native language Yoruba (Nigeria), I admit I'm not as fluent as I'd like to be.
I believe that every culture holds a wealth of knowledge and lessons. Immersing oneself in diverse cultures, understanding their nuances, and engaging with them is how we truly grow and learn. My experiences -- in Nigeria, the Netherlands, and the many other countries I've lived in -- have shaped my belief in the importance of cultural immersion.
Outside of my academic pursuits and family life, you'll often find me outdoors. The soccer pitch and tennis court are familiar territories, and my competitive spirit drives me on in every match.
I also love to travel. Few things I enjoy more than sampling local delicacies and engaging with residents, which gives me a genuine feel of the place.
Thank you for stopping by to learn a bit about me. Whether we bond over research interests, a game of tennis, cultural exchanges, or just a chat about our favorite world cuisines, I'm always eager to connect. Let's share, learn, and grow together!
