Welcome.
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Management Information Systems at the McCombs School of Business, The University of Texas at Austin, focusing on the societal impacts of information systems, particularly in areas of Misinformation, and Ethics, Cybersecurity, and Privacy in Artificial Intelligence.
Through my research, I humbly seek to contribute to creating a world where information systems serve as catalysts for positive transformation, both in thought and action. Central to my work is addressing the emergence of misinformation online and exploring interventions against it.
In this era of pervasive digital interactions, I am passionate about deciphering the mechanisms and implications of inaccurate interpretations, claims, or deliberately false information particularly as related to climate and environment. In this domain, I predominantly use qualitative and experimental methodologies to address relevant research questions.
Furthermore, my research delves into exploring the subtleties of algorithmic bias, focusing on how organizations and digital platforms can more effectively govern and mitigate its repercussions.
With over nine years of experience in the energy sector and expertise in business analysis, scrum, and design thinking, I bring a practical perspective to my academic endeavors, aiming to merge theoretical insights with real-world applications.
